Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II unveiled

Ahead of the 2022 race season, Audi Sport has introduced an improved R8 LMS GT3. The new evo II package focuses on five main areas.

They are:
  1. Aerodynamics – a modified rear wing now provides a greater proportion of the car’s overall downforce.
  2. Suspension – four-way adjustable dampers are fitted for the first time.
  3. Engine characteristics – a 5.2-litre V10 petrol engine still sends up to 585 PS (577 bhp / 430 kW) to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential transmission, but a revised air intake alters how the 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of peak torque is delivered.
  4. Traction control – the system is more adjustable than before, with additional functionality.
  5. Air conditioning – upgrades are intended to enhance driver comfort, especially over longer stints at higher ambient temperatures.
Customer teams can order a complete R8 LMS GT3 evo II for €429,000. At today’s exchange rates, that VAT-exclusive price roughly equates to £369,650 or US$506,070.

Alternatively, Audi Sport is offering an evo II parts kit for the previous-generation model.

Aston Martin Vantage GTE

Aston Martin Racing has announced that it’ll be entering a V8 Vantage in the GTE Pro category of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship. Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE. Chevrolet’s Captiva is set to become a truly global vehicle. The compact crossover, which is already available in more than fifty territories worldwide, will soon add the United States to its tally of markets when sales begin there towards the end of this year.
