2021 Street Glide Special Arctic Blast revealed

Harley-Davidson has introduced the Street Glide Special Arctic Blast Limited Edition.

This new member of the brand’s Grand American Touring line-up is distinguished by a unique colour scheme that’s hand-applied by Gunslinger Custom Paint of Colorado. It combines two shades of blue with pearlescent white, and details include an intricate hexagonal pattern on the fairing.

As per every other Street Glide Special, an LED headlight, Prodigy wheels and lockable panniers form part of the specification. Also fitted as standard is a touchscreen- and voice-controlled Boom! Box GTS infotainment system.

Power is provided by an unaltered Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-Twin engine. This 1,868 cc motor delivers 89 PS (88 bhp / 66 kW) plus up to 158 Nm (116 lb-ft) of torque via a six-speed transmission.

In the UK, the Arctic Blast Limited Edition costs from £31,295 (which is £6,800 more than a Street Glide Special with the basic Vivid Black finish). The MSRP in the United States is $38,899.

Exclusivity is pretty much guaranteed, because just 500 individually-numbered examples are going to be available worldwide.

Inspired by the 1969 V7 Record that set several speed records for Moto Guzzi, the new Record kit has been designed to give current-generation V7 models a retro endurance racer look. Included is a lightweight fibreglass front fairing (which handily uses the existing headlight), plus a replacement single seat unit that features memory foam. The kit can be fitted to the V7 Café and V7 Racer without any modifications. It’s also suitable for the V7 Classic, V7 Special and V7 Stone, but a set of Moto Guzzi clip-on handlebars will be needed as well for those variants. Chevrolet’s Captiva is set to become a truly global vehicle. The compact crossover, which is already available in more than fifty territories worldwide, will soon add the United States to its tally of markets when sales begin there towards the end of this year. To be known as the Captiva Sport in the US, Chevrolet is aiming its new addition primarily at fleet customers. Arguably it’s a direct replacement for the defunct Saturn Vue, which was itself based on the Captiva’s very close relation, the Vauxhall / Opel Antara .
