2022 Kawasaki Z900RS SE revealed
A ‘Yellow Ball’ colour scheme inspired by the 1972 Kawasaki Z1 gives the new Z900RS SE a distinctly retro look.
It’s not the only special feature, though. The upside-down front fork (painted gold to match the wheels) has been recalibrated, while the rear suspension gains an Öhlins S46 damper with preload adjustment.
Furthermore, an upgraded front brake set-up consists of twin Brembo discs, Brembo M4.32 radial-mount monobloc calipers, and a smaller-diameter Nissin master cylinder.
Power comes from an unmodified 948 cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that’s mated to a six-speed gearbox. Peak output and torque are 111 PS (110 bhp / 82 kW) and 98.5 Nm (72.6 lb-ft) respectively.
In the UK, the starting price for a Z900RS SE is £12,499 (excluding on-the-road charges). Deliveries are due to begin in early 2022.
