Alpine A110 line-up revised for 2022
Customers now have a choice of three Alpine A110 variants. As well as an entry-level model (simply called A110), there’s the more luxurious A110 GT and the sportier A110 S.
All are still powered by a 1.8-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. However, outputs do vary.
The base A110 gets 252 PS (248 bhp / 185 kW) with 320 Nm (236 lb/ft) of peak torque. It’s able to accelerate from rest to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds, before eventually reaching a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
Both the A110 GT and A110 S boast 300 PS (296 bhp / 221 kW) and an additional 20 Nm (14 lb/ft) of torque. Consequently, they take just 4.2 seconds to complete the 0-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint. Top speed remains at 155 mph (250 km/h) for the A110 GT, but 161 mph (260 km/h) is possible in an A110 S.
If that’s not quick enough, then the A110 S can achieve 170 mph (275 km/h) when the optional Aero Kit is specified. Costing £4,650, this comprises a carbon fibre front blade, longer front fairings beneath the car (to improve rear diffuser efficiency), and a carbon fibre rear spoiler. Those components aren’t just cosmetic, because together they produce up to 141 kg (310 lb) of extra downforce.
Also available exclusively for the A110 S are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Connect semi-slick tyres (£640) and Sabelt Racing one-piece seats (£620).
Alpine dealers are already accepting orders for the 2022 A110, ahead of the first deliveries next March. UK on-the-road prices start at:
