The changes start with the 286 cc engine. Delivering 31.1 PS (30.7 bhp / 22.9 kW) and 27.5 Nm (20.2 lb-ft) of torque via a six-speed transmission, this single-cylinder, fuel-injected unit gains an assist / slipper clutch, a redesigned exhaust and Euro5 compliance.

In addition, an upgraded chassis specification now includes an upside-down Showa SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork Big Piston) at the front.

Another highlight is the improved braking set-up. It comprises a 296 mm hubless floating disc and a radial-mounted Nissin four-piston caliper for the front wheel, while the rear has a 220 mm disc and a single-piston caliper. An IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) controls the two-channel anti-lock system.

Full LED lighting and a new LCD instrument display complete the package. As well as the usual gauges, the latter incorporates both a fuel level meter and a gear position indicator.
