Fiat 500 La Prima by Bocelli unveiled

Fiat has introduced the 500 La Prima by Bocelli special edition, which is aimed at people who appreciate decent in-car audio.

The specification’s highlight is a 320W JBL premium sound system. Developed with the assistance of tenor Andrea Bocelli and his son Matteo, it features JBL ‘Virtual Venues’ technology to provide an immersive aural experience for music lovers.

The new battery-electric 500 La Prima by Bocelli will be offered in both hatchback and convertible guises. There’s a choice of six paint colours, all complemented by 17” diamond-cut alloy wheels, full LED headlights, beige upholstery and a woven dashboard panel.

Fiat dealers in the UK are going to start accepting customer orders soon, but prices have yet to be announced.

Honda WSB team launch

Honda has unveiled its works team for the 2011 World Superbike championship . The announcement of Castrol as title sponsor means the return to a very familiar colour scheme for the pair of CBR1000RR Fireblade bikes, which will be ridden by Jonathan Rea and Ruben Xaus. As in recent years, Honda has entrusted Dutch concern Ten Kate Racing with running the factory WSB team. First thing on the Castrol Honda agenda is a two day testing session at the Motorland Aragón circuit in Spain later this week. The 2011 WSB season comprises thirteen rounds with Phillip Island, Australia hosting the opening race on 27 February.
