2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad unveiled

Dodge has revealed the Journey Crossroad ahead of its public debut at the Chicago Auto Show later this month.

The Crossroad package has been designed to make the seven-seat Journey crossover appear a bit more rugged. It consists of 19” Hyper Black five-spoke wheels, a gloss black grille, unique front and rear bumpers with Platinum Chrome accents, modified sills and tinted lights. On the inside features include Liquid Graphite trim pieces, part-leather upholstery with contrast stitching and an 8.4” Uconnect touchscreen.

There’s a chance the Journey Crossroad will live up to its looks too, as an intelligent all-wheel drive system can be specified in place of the usual front-wheel drive arrangement.

As standard power is provided by a 2.4 litre four-cylinder engine that produces 173 bhp (129 kW / 175 PS) and comes connected to a four-speed automatic gearbox. Alternatively, the 283 bhp (211 kW / 286 PS) 3.6 litre Pentastar V6 with its six-speed automatic transmission is available for those wanting more performance.

Sales of the Dodge Journey Crossroad begin this spring. In the United States, prices start from $24,995 plus a $995 destination charge.
