Škoda Rapid Monte Carlo launched

Another Škoda is getting the Monte Carlo treatment. This time it’s the Rapid hatchback’s turn and, as per usual, the package comprises a number of cosmetic tweaks.

At the front, xenon headlights flank a black grille and fog lights are fitted too. Continuing the black theme are the alloy wheels (available in 16” or 17” diameters), door mirror caps, sill extensions, spoilers and rear diffuser.

Privacy glass, tinted rear light clusters and some unique B-pillar badges complete the exterior look. Inside, there are front sports seats plus a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel.

Deliveries of the Rapid Monte Carlo are due to begin this November. Prices haven’t been confirmed yet.

The Alfa Romeo MiTo supermini is now available with the innovative two-cylinder TwinAir petrol engine. Honda WSB team launch

Honda has unveiled its works team for the 2011 World Superbike championship . The announcement of Castrol as title sponsor means the return to a very familiar colour scheme for the pair of CBR1000RR Fireblade bikes, which will be ridden by Jonathan Rea and Ruben Xaus. As in recent years, Honda has entrusted Dutch concern Ten Kate Racing with running the factory WSB team. First thing on the Castrol Honda agenda is a two day testing session at the Motorland Aragón circuit in Spain later this week. The 2011 WSB season comprises thirteen rounds with Phillip Island, Australia hosting the opening race on 27 February.
