Triumph Speedmaster revised

Triumph has given its Speedmaster cruiser a mild update for 2014.

The changes are mostly cosmetic, with the focus being the switch to a black finish for numerous components including the headlight housing, handlebars and five-spoke wheels. Paintwork choices are now either Phantom Black or Matt Graphite with twin Matt Black centre stripes.

Power still comes from an air-cooled, 865 cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 60 bhp (44 kW / 61 PS) and 72 Nm (53 lb/ft) of peak torque. Triumph says some tweaks have made it sound better than before, though.

The UK on the road price for the 2014 Speedmaster has been set at £7,199, an increase of £170.
