Latest Astra Sports Tourer at RETTmobil 2016

An Astra Sports Tourer in Kommandowagen Feuerwehr guise is one of the vehicles that Opel will be displaying at this year's RETTmobil emergency equipment show.

As well as the requisite high-visibility body graphics, this fire brigade command car features a roof-mounted LED light bar. Extra blue LEDs are fitted to the front grille and on the underside of the tailgate, too.

Also part of the specification are a digital two-way radio and a public address system. Opel is going to begin accepting orders in the autumn.

2013 Scion FR-S revealed

The Scion FR-S is the third and final product to emerge from the joint Toyota / Subaru 2+2 coupé project. As with the identical Toyota GT 86 and Subaru BRZ , the Scion version is a compact f ront-engine, r ear-wheel drive s ports car - hence the FR-S name. 2013 Scion FR-S. Scroll down for more images. Power comes from a 2.0 litre, four-cylinder boxer engine that features Toyota’s innovative D-4S direct and port injection system. Producing 197 bhp (147 kW / 200 PS) and 205 Nm (151 lb/ft) of peak torque, it will be available with a choice of either manual or automatic six-speed transmissions. However, just like its Toyota and Subaru partners, Scion is remaining silent on both performance and economy figures. First Rossi Ducati unveiled

That didn’t take long. Ducati has already begun to exploit the marketing potential of having Valentino Rossi riding for its MotoGP team by announcing a couple of special road bikes. The GP Replica kits are the latest offering from the Monster Art project, which allows owners of Ducati’s naked Monster to quickly and simply change the appearance of their machines. Comprised of graphics for the tank, pillion seat cover, front mudguard and bikini fairing, the colour schemes are inspired by the GP11 racers of Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi. Very smart they look, too. Perhaps using either the 848 or 1198 Superbikes as the basis for a homage to Ducati’s MotoGP efforts might’ve been more appropriate, but there’ll probably be more similarly-themed models in the future. Durango Special Service

Dodge has launched the Durango Special Service SUV, which is aimed at law enforcement agencies, fire departments and other government fleet users. To ensure that it can cope with heavy duty use, the Durango features numerous upgraded components including the braking system, engine oil cooler, water pump, alternator and battery. There are a few changes to the interior too, but these are mainly to increase equipment carrying capacity. The third row of seats is deleted, for example, and extra storage compartments have been provided both underneath and to the sides of  the main cargo loadspace. One thing that’s identical to the regular Durango is the powertrain choice, meaning users will get to specify either the 290 bhp (216 kW / 294 PS) 3.6 litre Pentastar V6 or the 360 bhp (268 kW / 365 PS) 5.7 litre Hemi V8.
