BMW 1 Series Sedan introduced in China
Hatchbacks aren't very popular in China, so BMW has created a saloon version of the 1 Series especially for that market.
The new four-door, which will be produced locally by the BMW Brilliance Automotive joint venture, won't be offered anywhere else.
Limiting availability does seem rather nonsensical, though. After all, the Sedan's arrival could allow BMW to start selling the current-generation 1 Series in Canada and the United States.
