M Performance Parts for the 2019 BMW X5

Buyers of the all-new fourth-generation BMW X5 will be able to adorn their vehicles with various M Performance Parts. Many are purely cosmetic, but some also improve the aerodynamics or reduce the overall weight.

A selection of carbon fibre components includes air intake trims, bumper winglets, door mirror caps and a rear diffuser. Matt black foil appliqués for the lower body sides add further visual impact.

Also available are 22” Star Spoke wheels which are reckoned to be around 4 kg (8 lbs) lighter per set than the regular rims. Alternatively, customers can order 20” matt black alloys that come shod with all-terrain tyres.

Mechanical upgrades focus on the brakes. Larger 19” perforated discs are being offered, along with special red-painted aluminium calipers.

While an X5 is unlikely to be used on track, the M Performance Drive Analyser might interest anybody who likes data logging. It comprises a smartphone app plus a small device that plugs into the on-board diagnostic socket.
