Fiat Doblò range revised for 2020
Fiat Professional originally launched the second-generation Doblò back in 2010. However, a replacement isn’t due any time soon, despite the current model’s relative old age. Instead, some further tweaks to the line-up are intended to maintain customer appeal throughout 2020.
As before, the Doblò is being offered in a wide variety of body styles:
The SX (available for Cargo only) gains a height-adjustable driver’s seat with lumber support, bulkhead soundproofing, a near-side sliding door and body-coloured power-adjustable door mirrors.
Moving up to the Tecnico (available for Cargo, Passenger and Work Up) adds several useful features that many would consider essential. Among them are Bluetooth, air conditioning, rear parking sensors, cruise control and TomTom satellite navigation.
Completing the quartet is the Sportivo (available for Cargo only). Black metallic paint and 16” alloy wheels create an eye-catching appearance, while power-folding and heated door mirrors provide extra convenience.
In a significant development, the old 93 bhp (70 kW / 95 PS) 1.4 litre MPI petrol engine has effectively been replaced by a 79 bhp (58 kW / 80 PS) version of the 1.3 litre MultiJet diesel.
It joins the 93 bhp (70 kW / 95 PS) 1.3 litre MultiJet, 103 bhp (77 kW / 105 PS) 1.6 litre MultiJet and 118 bhp (88 kW / 120 PS) 1.6 litre MultiJet.
Dealers are already accepting 2020 Doblò orders. Starting prices vary from £15,995 for a Cargo Standard 80 PS to £22,345 for an XL Passenger Tecnico 120 PS. When VAT and on-the-road charges are included, those amounts become £20,343 and £27,963 respectively.
