Interbrand’s most valuable auto brands of 2019

Interbrand has just published its twentieth annual 100 Best Global Brands report. Apple, Google and Amazon continue to occupy the first three slots, but the automotive sector remains well represented.

Indeed, in terms of relative positions, the 2019 motor industry league table is mostly unchanged. Toyota and Mercedes-Benz are still the only two marques that appear in the overall top ten, although BMW came close to joining them.

However, Nissan suffered a significant slip, ending up behind Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche. Conversely, Ferrari overtook Kia and Land Rover following another strong increase. Subaru dropped off the list after just one year.

As previously, the value assessments were based primarily on financial performance, competitive strength and influence over purchasing decisions.
