Volkswagen Arteon R-Line Edition launched

Although just 1,000 examples of the new Arteon R-Line Edition are being produced, the UK is getting 370 of them. Available only in Moonstone Grey with a black finish for the roof panel and door mirror caps, this special model boasts an enhanced specification compared to a regular R-Line.

Among the extra items are 20” Rosario Black alloy wheels (instead of the usual 19” rims) and Dynamic Chassis Control adaptive damping. The Edition variant also gains keyless entry, Park Assist (capable of both parallel and bay manoeuvres), Side Assist Plus (lane-change and blind-spot monitoring) and Area View (a 360-degree top-down exterior perspective).

That lot builds on the R-Line’s standard equipment list, which already includes adaptive cruise control, Lane Assist, a digital cockpit and ‘Discover Pro’ satellite navigation with a 9.2” colour touchscreen. LED headlights, three-zone climate control and heated front sports seats are fitted as well.
