Kia introduces the XCeed Edition
All of Kia’s UK showrooms are currently closed for obvious reasons, but when they reopen customers will be able to order an XCeed Edition. This new addition to the range – which is based on the existing entry-level ‘2’ trim grade – benefits from some extra features.
The Edition’s enhanced specification includes metallic paint (there’s a choice of Blue Flame, Lunar Silver or Quantum Yellow), rear privacy glass and a power-folding function for the heated door mirrors. Also fitted are 18” alloy wheels instead of the usual 16” rims, as well as black cloth and faux leather upholstery.
That lot builds on the already decent XCeed ‘2’ equipment list. Among its standard items are LED headlights, keyless entry, cruise control, a reversing camera, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Lane Keeping Assist. Furthermore, an 8” touchscreen controls an infotainment system that’s compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
A 1.0 litre T-GDi three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a six-speed manual gearbox comprise the sole available powertrain. Output is rated at 118 bhp (88 kW / 120 PS), while peak torque is 172 Nm (126 lb/ft).
The XCeed Edition costs £20,995.
