Suzuki Swift Attitude limited edition launched

Suzuki’s new Swift Attitude takes the regular SZ-T model and adds some accessories to create a more purposeful appearance.

As well as ‘carbon effect’ front, side and rear skirts, the package includes a mesh front grille and a tailgate spoiler.

Being based on the SZ-T, the specification is already fairly decent. 16” alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, air conditioning, a rear-view camera and an infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility are all on the standard equipment list, for instance.

The sole available powertrain is a self-charging mild hybrid that combines a 1.2 litre Dualjet petrol engine, a belt-driven integrated starter-generator and a five-speed manual gearbox. Output is rated at 88 bhp (66 kW / 90 PS).

Suzuki intends to build 350 examples of the 2020 Swift Attitude. Prices start at £15,999, although opting for a metallic paint colour will increase that amount by £485.

By comparison, a normal Swift SZ-T costs from £15,049.

Honda WSB team launch

Honda has unveiled its works team for the 2011 World Superbike championship . The announcement of Castrol as title sponsor means the return to a very familiar colour scheme for the pair of CBR1000RR Fireblade bikes, which will be ridden by Jonathan Rea and Ruben Xaus. As in recent years, Honda has entrusted Dutch concern Ten Kate Racing with running the factory WSB team. First thing on the Castrol Honda agenda is a two day testing session at the Motorland Aragón circuit in Spain later this week. The 2011 WSB season comprises thirteen rounds with Phillip Island, Australia hosting the opening race on 27 February.
