A very subtle facelift for the 2021 Kia Stinger
When a car design works well, applying a mid-life refresh is a tricky task. Change for change’s sake risks spoiling the original work, but leaving things pretty much as they are might not generate sufficient customer interest.
Kia, which recently faced that conundrum when deciding what to do with its Stinger, ended up choosing the latter path. Indeed, the external updates are limited to revised LED light clusters front and rear, some new 18” and 19” alloy wheels and, on higher-performance variants, a more aggressive rear diffuser.
The 2021 model does gain some interior upgrades, though. There are better-quality materials, for instance, plus the central infotainment touchscreen is now a 10.25” item.
Deliveries are due to begin during the third quarter of this year. UK specifications and prices have yet to be confirmed.
