Flying Spur Hybrid Odyssean Edition unveiled
To help launch its new Flying Spur Hybrid, Bentley has created the Odyssean Edition.
On the exterior, the chrome trim on the bumpers, around the lights and along the doors has been painted in a shade called Pale Brodgar. The same finish also appears as an accent on the 21” twin-spoke wheels. An illuminated, electrically-operated ‘Flying B’ bonnet mascot is part of the standard specification too.
Unique Odyssean Edition sill plates greet the driver and passengers as they enter the cabin. Inside, three-colour leather upholstery is complemented by tweed on the backs of the front seats and head restraints. Open-pore Koa wood veneers across the dashboard use 90 percent less lacquer than usual, while contrasting Piano Linen veneer adorns the centre console.
The Bentley’s hybrid powertrain combines a 2.9-litre V6 petrol engine, a 100 kW electric motor and an 18 kWh lithium-ion battery. Total system output is rated at 544 PS (536 bhp / 400 kW) with 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of peak torque. That’s enough for a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time of 4.3 seconds and a 177 mph (285 km/h) top speed.
Although the Flying Spur Hybrid isn’t currently available in Europe, orders are already being accepted in other selected markets.
