It’s powered by a brushless electric motor that’s integrated into the rear wheel. Peak output and torque are rated at 12.2 PS (12.0 bhp / 9.0 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) respectively, which allows the 0-31 mph (50 km/h) sprint to be completed in 3.9 seconds. Top speed is 59 mph (95 km/h).

As well as City, Eco and Sport riding modes, the specification includes a reverse gear to help with manoeuvring.

A removable 5.6 kWh lithium-ion battery weighing 40 kg (88 lb) features an extendable handle and castors for ease of transportation. Maximum range according to the WMTC is 85 miles (137 kilometres), while a full recharge via a 240-volt domestic socket takes between six and eight hours.

To minimise energy losses, regenerative braking is fitted. However, using the function might be rather confusing at first: the left-hand handlebar lever applies both the front and rear ventilated disc brakes, but the right-hand lever activates the regen system and just the front brake.
