A culinary Partner van by Peugeot Design Lab
For its Experience Tour, cooking appliance manufacturer Whirlpool has been using a mobile demonstration kitchen that’s based on an unusually-modified Peugeot Expert. The vehicle was devised by Peugeot Design Lab and converted by BCC.
One side of the van lifts upwards to reveal a pair of steam ovens and a sink. Extra units (transported in an accompanying trailer) are then arranged in front to form an enclosed workspace for the chef.
An extendable awning provides weather protection, while a swing-out multimedia screen is housed behind the rear tailgate. A solar panel plus an onboard generator supply enough electricity to ensure energy self-sufficiency.
The Whirlpool Experience Tour – which is intended to train business-to-business salespeople – visited 20 cities throughout France during 2021. Next year, the plan is to run the programme in Italy, Poland and the UK too, so more examples of this special Expert will need to be built.
