Škoda Enyaq Coupé iV first view

Škoda has unveiled the Enyaq Coupé iV, which heralds the brand’s first pure-electric vRS high-performance model.

The five-door Enyaq Coupé iV measures 4,653 mm (15’ 3”) long with an overall height of 1,622 mm (5’ 4”). Its roofline slopes gently towards the rear, contributing to a drag coefficient of just Cd 0.234.

Inside, there’s enough space for five people, thanks partly to a 2,765 mm (9’ 1”) wheelbase and a flat floor. A standard full-length dark-tinted panoramic glass roof helps to create a light and airy ambience.

Regular versions will be offered with a choice of two powertrains. The entry-level ‘80’ combines rear-wheel drive with a single electric motor producing up to 204 PS (201 bhp / 150 kW) plus 310 Nm (228 lb-ft) of peak torque, while the ‘80x’ gets two motors, all-wheel drive, 265 PS (261 bhp / 195 kW) and 425 Nm (313 lb-ft).

In addition, the aforementioned sporty vRS boasts 300 PS (295 bhp / 220 kW) and 460 Nm (339 lb-ft). Delivered to all four wheels, that level of output results in an impressive 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time of 6.5 seconds. Top speed is restricted to 111 mph (178 km/h), though.

Every Enyaq Coupé iV is going to come with the same 82 kWh battery pack. For the rear-wheel drive ‘80’, maximum WLTP range is provisionally 339 miles (545 kilometres), but Škoda hasn’t released equivalent figures for either the ‘80x’ or the vRS.

A full recharge at home using a dedicated 11 kW wallbox takes between six and eight hours. Alternatively, replenishment from 10 to 80 percent capacity can be achieved in around half an hour via a public DC fast-charging facility.
