MV Agusta F3 800 Ago limited edition

In tribute to multiple motorcycle World Champion and Isle of Man TT race winner Giacomo Agostini, MV Agusta has created the F3 800 Ago.

The new arrival’s distinguishing features include an Italian tricolour paintjob, carbon fibre mudguards, aluminium foot pegs and gold-coloured forged alloy wheels that are 2 kilos (4.4 lbs) lighter than the standard items.

Also fitted to the F3 800 Ago is the compact Bosch 9MP anti-lock braking system. Offering a choice of standard or race modes, it works in conjunction with a rear wheel lift-up mitigation (RLM) device which is there to ensure both wheels stay on the ground during heavy braking.

Like the regular F3 800, power is provided by a 146 bhp (109 kW / 148 PS) three-cylinder engine that comes equipped with eight-stage traction control. Among the bike’s key chassis components are a Marzocchi upside-down front fork, a Sachs monoshock rear suspension set-up and Brembo brake calipers.

Production of the F3 800 Ago is being restricted to just 300 examples and each will carry a numbered plaque on the handlebar yoke plus Agostini’s autograph on the fuel tank. In Italy the price has been set at €23,990, which is around £19,740 at current exchange rates.
