2020 Renault Trafic first view
Some styling changes, a refreshed cab and a revised engine line-up identity the updated Renault Trafic medium van.
On the outside, the most obvious difference is a redesigned grille that’s now flanked by LED headlights. Inside, there’s better quality seat fabric, several satin chrome dashboard elements and improved LED lighting for the cargo area.
People-carrying versions will still be available. The utilitarian Trafic Passenger can be specified with up to nine seats, while the much more luxurious Trafic SpaceClass boasts leather upholstery, full carpeting, a 220-volt socket, metallic paint and alloy wheels.
Power is provided by a new 2.0 litre turbo-diesel engine that complies with Euro 6d-Temp emissions standards. Full technical details have yet to be released, but outputs vary from 118 bhp (88 kW / 120 PS) to 167 bhp (125 kW / 170 PS). As well as a manual gearbox, a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is coming for certain variants.
The 2020 Trafic – which is going to be built exclusively in Sandouville, France – should arrive at dealers this September.
