Jeep has created the Gladiator Farout Concept

Jeep originally intended to reveal the Farout Concept at the 2020 Moab Easter Jeep Safari, but that event didn’t happen because of pandemic-related reasons.

It’s based on the Gladiator Overlander pick-up and features the new 3.0 litre EcoDiesel engine. This V6 unit  – which develops 260 bhp (193 kW / 263 PS) with 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque – is due to be available in production models shortly.

As befits an overlanding vehicle, the Farout Concept gains a two-inch suspension lift, Fox dampers, and 17” wheels shod with 37” mud-terrain tyres. Rock rails and a bumper-mounted Warn winch are also fitted.

Sleeping accommodation for up to four people is provided by a generously-sized bespoke roof tent. Beneath, in what was the Gladiator’s load space, can be found a stove, a refrigerator, storage racks, a table and extra seating.
