2021 Renault Kangoo and Express first view
Next year will see the arrival of an all-new Kangoo and the virtually identical Express, both of which are going to be offered in panel van and five-seat passenger-carrying guises.
Renault is pitching the Kangoo as the more upmarket option, aimed at “fleets, craftsmen and traders” that want numerous advanced technologies such as a Permanent Rear View digital interior mirror.
Two body lengths and a selection of petrol, diesel and Z.E. electric powertrains should certainly provide enough configuration choices for prospective Kangoo customers.
The Express meanwhile is targeted at “young entrepreneurs and small fleets” requiring a cheaper alternative.
Accordingly, equipment levels are expected to be less opulent and the interior has a tougher ambience. However, things won’t be entirely basic, because various driver aids including Front and Rear Park Assist, Blind Spot Warning and Rear-View Assist appear on its kit list.
Renault intends to manufacture the Kangoo Van and Kangoo in France, with sales planned across Europe and other selected markets.
Conversely, a Renault factory in Morocco has been given the task of assembling the Express Van and Express. Only the cargo variant is destined for European dealers, though.
Full details about UK availability, specifications and prices are due to be announced sometime in 2021.
