Renault launches two Trafic people carriers
Renault has given its Trafic van a facelift for 2021. The first models to be revealed with the changes are the new nine-seat Trafic Passenger and eight-seat Trafic SpaceClass.
On the outside, styling alterations include a more prominent grille that’s flanked by revised LED headlights. The front bumper and bonnet have been totally refreshed too, plus the Trafic SpaceClass additionally benefits from a set of 17” diamond-effect alloy wheels.
The interior updates focus mainly on a redesigned dashboard. In an effort to create a car-like ambience, it’s made from nicer materials than before, and the central portion gains an 8” touchscreen for the Easy Link infotainment system (which is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay).
Renault is due to announce final specifications and prices early next year, but satellite navigation is already confirmed as standard equipment. Among the numerous cost options will be a Prestige Pack (comprising two swivelling front seats, a third-row bench and leather upholstery), wireless device charging and adaptive cruise control.
Power is provided by a 2.0 litre diesel engine that’s going to be available in dCi 110 (with a six-speed manual transmission), dCi 150 (with either the six-speed manual or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic) and dCi 170 (with the DCT only) guises.
