Nissan revises the Micra line-up for 2021

It looks pretty much the same (which is no bad thing), but the Nissan Micra has just received some specification updates.

One major change sees the engine choice reduced to just one option: the new IG-T 92. This 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol unit is compliant with the latest Euro 6d emissions regulations, plus fuel economy is claimed to be better than before. Although performance and efficiency figures have yet to be released, output is presumably 90 bhp (67 kW / 92 PS).

A straightforward trim grade structure for the UK now comprises Visia, Acenta, N-Sport and Tekna.

The N-Sport – recognisable by a black finish on its door mirror caps and 17” ‘Perso’ alloy wheels – has become a permanent member of the range. LED headlights and part-Alcantara upholstery are fitted as standard.

Customers wanting plenty of technology should consider the Tekna. As well as 17” diamond-cut alloys, the top variant features an Intelligent Around View Monitor camera array, Blind Spot Warning, Bose Personal audio, Ultra Nearfield speakers (in the driver’s seat head restraint) and a NissanConnect infotainment system with TomTom navigation.

Dealers are due to begin accepting 2021 Micra orders very soon. Prices start from £13,995.
