Yamaha confirms a UK price for its XSR125
Yamaha’s latest Sport Heritage motorcycle is the new XSR125, which blends retro-inspired styling with modern technologies.
Built around a twin-spar delta box frame, features include an upside-down front fork, ten-spoke alloy wheels and an LED headlight. A circular LCD instrument display is also part of the specification.
Power is provided by a 124 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that’s mated to a six-speed gearbox. Maximum output is 15.0 PS (14.7 bhp / 11.0 kW) at 10,000 rpm to satisfy A1 licence conditions, while 11.5 Nm (8.5 lb-ft) of peak torque arrives at 8,000 rpm.
The bike’s wet weight with full tanks is just 140 kg (308 lb). However, a surprisingly tall seat height of 815 mm (32.1”) might be a bit intimidating for some novices or shorter riders.
XSR125 on-the-road prices start at £4,450 in the UK. Customers can choose Tech Back, Redline or Impact Yellow paintwork.
