Corsa-e Griffin and Crossland Griffin launched

Vauxhall has introduced a couple more Griffin editions, which both benefit from improved specifications and some cosmetic enhancements.

The first is the pure-electric Corsa-e Griffin. Based on the current SE Nav Premium trim grade, it’s distinguished by 17” two-tone alloy wheels, rear privacy glass and a black roof finish.

Extra standard equipment includes a reversing camera, LED ambient cabin lighting, LED front fog lights, and automatic headlights and wipers. A heated steering wheel and heated front seats complete the package.

On-the-road prices for the Corsa-e Griffin begin at £26,390 (after deducting the government’s £2,500 Plug-in Car Grant). Customers will also receive a free home charger unit plus an energy credit that’s equivalent to 30,000 miles of electric driving.

Alternatively, the Crossland Griffin uses the existing entry-level SE variant as a starting point. Among this model’s upgrades are black 17” twin-spoke alloy wheels, black door mirror caps and a contrasting roof.

Front and rear parking sensors are fitted too, along with a reversing camera, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient interior lighting and a security alarm.

A Crossland Griffin powered by the 83 PS (81 bhp / 61 kW) 1.2-litre petrol engine costs from £17,555. Opting for a 110 PS (108 bhp / 81 kW) 1.5-litre diesel unit instead raises the minimum outlay to £19,815.

Vauxhall dealers are already accepting orders for the Corsa-e Griffin and Crossland Griffin.

Aston Martin Vantage GTE

Aston Martin Racing has announced that it’ll be entering a V8 Vantage in the GTE Pro category of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship. Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE. Chevrolet’s Captiva is set to become a truly global vehicle. The compact crossover, which is already available in more than fifty territories worldwide, will soon add the United States to its tally of markets when sales begin there towards the end of this year.
