Honda introduces the 2022 Jazz EX Style

Any Honda Jazz buyers who want a more distinctive look might be interested in the new EX Style trim grade.

To differentiate it, 16” two-tone alloy wheels are fitted, the roof is painted black, and a Crystal Black finish is applied to the door mirror caps, body-side mouldings and rear spoiler. Otherwise, the specification is as per the regular EX variant.

Therefore, the standard equipment list includes LED headlights, parking sensors, a rear-view camera and the Honda Sensing suite of safety technologies.

The interior features fabric and leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a Connect infotainment system (which is compatible with Android Auto and Apply CarPlay, and incorporates a 9” touchscreen and Garmin satellite navigation).

Like every other current Jazz, the sole available powertrain is an i-MMD ‘self-charging’ hybrid. This comprises a 98 PS (96 bhp / 72 kW) 1.5-litre petrol engine, a 108 PS (107 bhp / 80 kW) electric motor, a continuously-variable automatic transmission, and regenerative braking.

Performance is respectable enough, as evidenced by a 0-62 mph time of 9.5 seconds and a 109 mph (175 km/h) top speed. Combined cycle fuel economy and CO2 emissions are 61.4 mpg (4.6 l/100km) and 105 g/km respectively.

Prospective purchasers could be put off by the high premium being charged by Honda, though. While on-the-road prices for a Jazz EX start at £22,500, the equivalent figure for the Jazz EX Style is £24,845.

The Alfa Romeo MiTo supermini is now available with the innovative two-cylinder TwinAir petrol engine. Aston Martin Racing has announced that it’ll be entering a V8 Vantage in the GTE Pro category of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship. Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE. 2012 Civic NGTC livery

Honda Racing’s all-new Civic NGTC race cars were first seen at a Brands Hatch test session last month. Then they were painted plain white, but now the colour scheme that will be worn in this year’s British Touring Car Championship has been revealed. As expected, the design is predominantly white with red and black stripes. A deal with Yuasa has also been confirmed, which will see the battery manufacturer becoming the renamed Honda Yuasa Racing Team’s title sponsor for the next three years.
