UK prices for the Citroën e-Dispatch
Ahead of deliveries beginning later this year, Citroën has announced prices for the new pure-electric e-Dispatch van.
As previously confirmed, customers will have a choice of XS (4.60 m / 15’ 1”), M (4.95 m / 16’ 3”) or XL (5.30 m / 17’ 5”) body lengths. Citroën is offering X, Enterprise and Driver trim grades too.
A more important decision for operators – in terms of both financial impact and practicality – is should they select a 50 kWh or 75 kWh lithium-ion battery pack?
The former’s WLTP range is now rated at 148 miles (238 kilometres), while the latter usefully increases that figure to 211 miles (340 kilometres). It’s also worth noting that the battery warranty period is eight years or 100,000 miles (160,934 kilometres) for up to 70% capacity.
In ‘Power’ mode, the electric motor is rated at 134 bhp (100 kW / 136 PS) with 260 Nm (191 lb-ft) of peak torque. ‘Normal’ reduces output to 107 bhp (80 kW / 109 PS) and 210 Nm (154 lb-ft) but, if energy conservation is a priority, then switching to ‘Eco’ sees a further cut to 80 bhp (60 kW / 82 PS) plus 190 Nm (140 lb-ft). Maximum speed is always 81 mph (130 km/h).
With the exception of the entry-level variant, every e-Dispatch is expensive enough to attract the maximum £8,000 Plug-in Van Grant from the government.
After applying the very generous PiVG, starting prices (excluding VAT and on-the-road costs) are:
