UK prices for the Peugeot e-Expert
Unsurprisingly, prices for the new pure-electric e-Expert van are very similar to those of the virtually identical Citroën e-Dispatch.
Like the Citroën, Peugeot’s version is being offered in three body lengths with a choice of three trim grades. However, unlike the e-Dispatch, the e-Expert is available as either a panel van or a six-seat crew van.
As per most electric vehicles, battery capacity is going to significantly affect both practicality and the final invoice amount. Buyers of the e-Expert get to opt for either 50 kWh or 75 kWh packs, which can achieve WLTP ranges of 148 miles (238 kilometres) and 211 miles (340 kilometres) respectively.
The e-Expert is powered by an electric motor that delivers 107 bhp (80 kW / 109 PS) plus 210 Nm (154 lb-ft) of torque in ‘Normal’ mode. When extra performance is required, a ‘Power’ setting increases output to 134 bhp (100 kW / 136 PS) with 260 Nm (191 lb-ft). Conversely, ‘Eco’ focuses on efficiency by dropping those figures to 80 bhp (60 kW / 82 PS) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft). Maximum speed is always 81 mph (130 km/h).
Apart from the entry-level variant, every e-Expert is eligible for the government’s maximum £8,000 Plug-in Van Grant. After the PiVG has been applied, starting prices (excluding VAT and on-the-road charges) are:
