Honda Vision 110 completely revised for 2021

Honda has introduced what is essentially an all-new version of its Vision 110 scooter. Compared to the previous model, virtually every major component is different.

The 2021 updates start with the chassis, which is now made from laser-welded pressed steel rather than tubular steel. This ‘enhanced Smart Architecture Frame’ (eSAF) is claimed to improve stability and handling, plus kerb weight is reduced by 2 kg (4 lb) to 100 kg (200 lb). Saddle height is a very manageable 785 mm (30.9”).

Changes to the 109.5 cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, two-valve, fuel-injected, air-cooled ‘enhanced Smart Power’ (eSP) engine have resulted in better efficiency. Indeed, according to the WMTC method, economy is provisionally rated at an impressive 153.9 mpg (1.8 l/100km / 54.5 km/l). Because the fuel tank holds 1.1 gallons (4.9 litres), a theoretical riding range of 165 miles (267 kilometres) is possible.

Maximum output is 8.5 bhp (6.4 kW / 8.7 PS) at 7,500 rpm, while 9.0 Nm (6.6 lb-ft) of peak torque arrives at 5,750 rpm. As before, the Vision 110 features a continuously-variable automatic transmission and Idling Stop (a device that switches off the engine after three seconds at standstill, then restarts it when the throttle is twisted).

Restyled bodywork, the addition of a Smart Key (keyless ignition and seat lock operation) and a refreshed instrument panel complete the upgrades. Customers will have a choice of Mat Galaxy Black Metallic, Poseidon Black Metallic, Candy Noble Red or Pearl Jasmine White paint colours.
