Dacia introduces the 2021 Duster Commercial

Dacia has begun selling the Duster Commercial in the UK. Instead of the usual rear seats, this new cargo-carrying model features a flat floor, lashing points and a protective bulkhead.

An opaque film is applied to the windows aft of the B-pillar to deter prying eyes, plus an extra cover complements the Duster’s regular parcel shelf. The load space is able to accommodate up to 1.5 cubic metres of volume, while maximum payload varies between 486 and 492 kg (1,071 and 1,084 lb).

Dacia is offering a selection of three engines that are Euro 6D Full compliant:

TCe 90
999 cc, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol
90 PS (89 bhp / 66 kW) and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft)

TCe 130
1,333 cc, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol
130 PS (128 bhp / 96 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft)

Blue dCi 115
1,461 cc, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel
115 PS (113 bhp / 85 kW) and 260 Nm (191 lb-ft)

All come with a six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive. Alternatively, four-wheel drive can be specified for the diesel option.

There’s a choice of two trim grades, too.

The entry-level Essential has 16” steel wheels, roof bars, electric front windows, air conditioning, Bluetooth and a DAB radio.

Moving up to the Comfort variant adds front fog lights, 16” alloy wheels, power-adjustable heated door mirrors, darkened rear glass, a reversing camera and rear parking sensors. Inside, it gains a MediaNav Evolution infotainment system which incorporates a 7” touchscreen, satellite navigation and Android Auto / Apple CarPlay compatibility.

The Alfa Romeo MiTo supermini is now available with the innovative two-cylinder TwinAir petrol engine. Although its capacity is only 875 cc, a turbocharger and the MultiAir electro-hydraulic valve control system mean it produces a respectable 83 bhp (62 kW / 85 PS) and 145 Nm (103 lb/ft) of torque. Honda WSB team launch

Honda has unveiled its works team for the 2011 World Superbike championship . The announcement of Castrol as title sponsor means the return to a very familiar colour scheme for the pair of CBR1000RR Fireblade bikes, which will be ridden by Jonathan Rea and Ruben Xaus. As in recent years, Honda has entrusted Dutch concern Ten Kate Racing with running the factory WSB team. First thing on the Castrol Honda agenda is a two day testing session at the Motorland Aragón circuit in Spain later this week. The 2011 WSB season comprises thirteen rounds with Phillip Island, Australia hosting the opening race on 27 February.
