2021 Nissan Patrol Nismo launched in Dubai

Nissan has created the less-than-subtle Patrol Nismo exclusively for the Middle East region.

As well as a dark chrome front grille with gloss black mesh inserts, this new sporty SUV features redesigned bumpers, extra side vents, extended side skirts and a rear roof spoiler. Red accents and a set of lightweight two-tone 22” forged alloy wheels further add to its purposeful look.

Inside, the Nismo specification includes black leather and red Alcantara upholstery, an Alcantara-covered steering wheel, and carbon veneer trim pieces.

The enhancements aren’t just cosmetic, though. An upgraded suspension set-up incorporates Bilstein dampers, while an improved 5,552 cc V8 petrol engine promises slightly better performance.

Compared to a regular Patrol, power has been increased by 28 PS (28 bhp / 20 kW) to 428 PS (422 bhp / 314 kW), but peak torque remains at 560 Nm (413 lb-ft). That output is delivered to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission.

Available with a choice of Black Solid, Grey Metallic, Silver Metallic or White Pearl paintwork, the Patrol Nismo goes on sale this month.

In the United Arab Emirates, prices start at AED 385,000 (which is roughly equivalent to £75,800).
