Pure-electric Genesis GV60 revealed
Genesis has unveiled the new GV60. It’s based on the E-GMP modular platform for electric vehicles, which already underpins the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5.
Unfortunately, technical details remain unknown, so for now all the attention is on the crossover’s styling. Unsurprisingly, the GV60 follows the Genesis ‘Athletic Elegance’ design language.
Up front, there’s a low-set ‘crest’ grille (necessary to cool the batteries) and a split headlight arrangement. Perhaps the most distinctive view is from the side, thanks to a coupé-like roofline and a visual notch just behind the rear doors.
Inside, the focus was on creating a spacious and comfortable environment. A wide ‘glass cockpit’ uses digital displays for the instruments and other functions, while two separate door-mounted screens show the outputs from the ‘mirror’ cameras.
Genesis has yet to announce an on-sale date or prices.
