New Honda Gold Wing F6B
The new 2013 Gold Wing F6B is a stripped-down, supposedly cooler version of Honda’s gigantic touring bike.
Distinguished by its low-profile screen, restyled seat and a black finish for the wheels, engine and frame, the F6B retains the Gold Wing’s audio system and side panniers but loses the top box for a sleeker look.
A kerb weight of 381 kg (842 lbs) still makes it a hefty motorcycle though, so it’s perhaps just as well that the 1,832 cc six-cylinder engine has been kept unchanged.
Although availability in the UK has yet to be confirmed, sales in the United States are due to begin during February 2013. There, the MSRP of the base version is going to be $19,999, while the Deluxe - which adds self-cancelling turn signals, a backrest, heated grips and a centre stand to the specification - will cost an extra $1,000.
